Background
This case is a perfect example of why proper inspections are so important no matter the size of the project.
During a hurricane, a newly built hotel experienced costly roof damage. The Architect on the project insisted that the design should have withstood hurricane force winds with almost no damage.
Outcome
After investigating the roof construction per the plans, I found that the contractor did in fact deviate from the original design, which contributed to the roof failure.
Role
Served as Arbitrator between the Architect and Builder.
